i have a bunch of characters that i've drawn over and over in my skecthbook, but they have yet to be drawn in a actul comic. On this page i threw in four of those characters, the most dominate one being of course Jerkface, a character who was born out of my anger with my breakup from Andrea. i did a lot of comics staring him to help me get over her, all of which will never see print cause they are just way too dark and fucked up.
Also, you can finally buy Original Fish! It's three bucks for the comic and i'll throw in some other goodies too. and yes i totally want to trade you for your comic.

i don't do a lot of work in color. come to think of it i don't do a lot of work outside of comics at all. honestly i don't really want to do any other kind of art work. i don't like painting, or photographing or any of that stuff.
i kinda feel like this is a mistake. so i'm going to start doing some artwork that has nothing to do with comics what so ever. just so i can expand. my hope is that this will expand my artistic ability and make me a better cartoonist. |

i love zombies! this drawing came about from watching return of the living dead for like the millionth time.
me and a friend from work started talking about zombies the other day and he brought up my most hated thing to talk about when it comes to zombies: the rage zombies from 28 days later.
i am telling you this right now, those are NOT zombies. to be a zombie you have to follow two basic rules.
1) you are a reanimated corpse
2) you want to eat peoples brains and/or flesh
those "things" in that movie were not dead and they did not eat brains or flesh. they did bite people but it was to spread the virus. |

for me frankensteins monster is one of the strangest monsters because while nearly all the others are based on lust, power, or rage, he is based on loneliness and sadness.
i also thought he could be far more interesting visual then he is usually made, so i made his arms and legs different lengths, since he is just made up of different people. |

as soon as i put a hat on this guy it made me think of penrod. i didn't think anyone else would get that so i added the visable breath, which is the other staple in penrod's comics. |
